Bleeding Hearts are delightful little plants. As a woodland species they thrive in shady spots. They’re not a big showy flower, but then that’s the nature of such understory plants – they have to make do with the light they get. And indeed they do, with delightful, complex blossoms dangling from outstretched stems as if they’re being deliberately held out for admiration instead of just procreation of the species.
