One limitation of scanography is you can’t scan “deep” objects — the focal point is essentially at the glass surface, so items fade to black quickly if they are too large. So face-on scans of these lovelies didn’t work. Hmm, those stamens are interesting, what if I sliced the flowers in half? First failure paid off with a second attempt more interesting than the initial foray.
