Each year a different flower seems to especially thrive: rudbeckia one year, daisies the next. This year the lilies seem to be queens of the flower beds, though the ever-faithful butterfly weed is running a close second. The petals of this yellow beauty show of a delightful silken glow in the full sun, and given the very pleasant summer they have had many an opportunity to shine.
