A happy accident, this one. A summer storm toppled the long spire, “forcing” me to cut it and put it to good use. But that short stint toppled over resulted in the intriguing little hook at the top, adding interest to an already rich set of green and lavender tones. Editing all of those little florets didn’t please me as much — this one took at least 25 hours to complete the fine editing! Shibumi was one of my first attempts but remains one of my favorites, and has been “favorited” by a couple of judges at various art shows as well.
Shibumi is available for purchase in a wide range of sizes, formats and more at Fine Art America
